Sysinternals Multi Desktops

April 19th, 2010 by Shah @ KBspot | Filed under Software.

Sysinternals Desktops allows you to organize your applications on up to four virtual desktops. Read email on one, browse the web on the second, and do work in your productivity software on the third, without the clutter of the windows you’re not using. After you configure hotkeys for switching desktops, you can create and switch desktops either by clicking on the tray icon to open a desktop preview and switching window, or by using the hotkeys ( as described by Sysinternals )

Sysinternals Desktops is a standalone application, just run it. For first run, this options will be shown to you. Select what suites you.

Reffering to picture(above), it means you need to press ‘ ALT + F1 ‘ ~ ‘ ALT + F4 ‘ to switch between desktops screen. So, how does it looks like ?

It’ll be in your system tray. You can click(left) to select desktop screen and click(right) to get ‘option’ menu. Done.

Ohh one more thing. Plus an extra special usage. Of course you can use this to hide your ‘usual activities’ from your boss. Just a thought. (dont tell anyone i told you this).  Enjoy ;)

Here’s where to get it, download

Special thanks to Mark Russinovich and Bryce Cogswell plus ‘Sysinternals Team’ for this super cool gadget. I’m lovin it.
