5 Things You Should Remember In Blogging

Stop

Blogging could be a wonderful journey, also it could be a stressful experience. We all have our own story. Whatever it is, that shouldn’t be the last checkpoint. You need to move on. These are five things we(blogger) should keep in mind.

Don’t judge your own post

As a writer, all you do is provide the best article as you possibly can. A thought like ‘my article is not good enough for me to spread it out’ is just a big mistake that you can avoid. Promote your articles anywhere you can think of, every single time publish new content. Just announce to the world that you’ve published a new post. You don’t judge your own articles, let your readers judge it for you.

Don’t stop what you’re doing

Blogging consume time. Don’t just give up when nobody tweets or you got no comments on your post. It could be a wrong marketing and it could be your post is not ‘up to standard’. There is always room for improvement. Give yourself a little more time. Try a different marketing plan or writing skills. Experiment every single way you can and see the results. This way you’ll get more experience and ideas. Hopefully you’ll understand what your readers really want from you. When you do, you just hit the jackpot and you’re on your way to success.

Don’t be selfish

You might not face this on the early stage but when your community grows bigger, time is never enough. With hundreds or thousands of contacts and followers, you just can’t keep up with their broadcast or tweets. Followers can’t really see what you’re doing. When they feel you don’t engage, they start to forget about you. Community and relations you built slowly shrinking. Remember what they gave you. Without them your blog is worthless. It may sounds crazy but it’s necessary. Do it slowly, constantly. Just join the party.

Don’t leave your blog for too long

You know blogging takes a lot of time and effort. You can see results from time to time depends on how much you poured into it. There is nothing wrong in taking some time off but don’t overdo it. Leaving your blog for a long time would give some negative impact on community you built and possibly dropped your Alexa rank. Your blog needs you as much as you need it.

Don’t forget to help your friends

‘ Help others to help yourself ‘. Somehow, somewhere i can remember someone said that to me. There are many ways to do that like guest posting, tweeting others post, moral support and everything. It’s a big world out there, surely it’s more than enough for everyone. Even though blogosphere is like a battlefield, killing each other won’t do any good but helping each other would produce a greater result and hopefully a mutual friendship.
