Web page speed means how fast the requested page loads. In other words the time it takes to load all the contents, html, stylesheet (css), javascripts and images. There may be number of reasons depending upon different factors that might slow down the download speed . Here is some load testing tools to check your website speed.
Get a faster server or move to overseas servers or change the ISP. Yeah, that’s a good option.
But before we do that maybe we should check the page itself. It’s called web optimization . Some items might be causing website response time took longer. For a quick check up, visit these guys. They can tell something.

Analysis and Recommendations
You will see what is good and what is not. Just focus on what is not , right ?
Pingdom tools has a detail of loading time for each file involved in a http request. Each file will be listed with it’s size, path and loading time. Picture below is just a quick summary. You need to try to see it.

Mode simple :
Just like it sounds, it only show basic information about download time in each connection speed.
Mode Advance :
This option will generate a detail report. It shows all file(s) size (css, javascript & images) included in that http request but it doesn’t show time to download those file(s). It’s still a good report thou.

You’ll you can choose a location where you wanna test your website from , browser (IE7 or IE8), connection type/speed and some other options . I only took a basic test to try it out.

Just a simple test.

Just report file(s) size included in http request (css, javascript, images ). Too bad it only shows file(s) size. And as you can see in the picture, it didnt capture my stylesheets(css). Still it’s kinda usefull.
